Liverpool are reportedly eyeing a move for out-of-favour Real Madrid star Eden Hazard. It was revealed by El Nacional that the Reds want to sign the Belgian international, but his astronomical wage demands could be a stumbling block to the move.

The aforementioned media outlet disclosed that Liverpool want to seal a Premier League return for Hazard who has had a career to forget at Real Madrid. The Belgian national team skipper has not lived up to his status as one of the best players in his time at Real Madrid. Hazard is in his third season at Real Madrid and he's yet to set the world alight due to injuries and fitness issues.

Senegalese international Sadio Mane was one of the standout performers in the latest set of Premier League games after he set a new record during the game against London team Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon. Mane scored the first goal of the match as Liverpool thrashed Palace 3-0 at home to take their place at the top of the Premier League standings.

Liverpool midfielder Thiago Alcantara has been left out of the latest Spain squad ahead of the latest set of World Cup qualifiers for Qatar 2022 in the European section. The £20m Liverpool player was not part of the 24-man squad named by manager Luis Enrique ahead of the games against Sweden, Georgia and Kosovo in Group B.

Thiago earns around £200,000 on a weekly basis at Liverpool and he tasted just 65 minutes of action at Euro 2020 as Spain reached the semifinals. Apart from Thiago, the likes of Barcelona starlet Pedri, Real Sociedad star Mikel Oyarzabal, and RB Leipzig forward Dani Olmo were also left out. Olmo, Oyarzabal, and Pedri were all rested after their involvement at the Euro 2020 tournament and the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
