Liverpool are undoubtedly one of the form teams in the Premier League and they have now won four games in a row in all competitions on the back of the convincing 4-1 win handed out to rivals Everton in their Merseyside Derby encounter in the league. Liverpool have showed character with the manner in which theyresponded to their first defeat in the Premier League this season.

The Reds were the only team without a defeat when they faced West Ham United away from home and they would go on to lose that unbeaten record via a 3-2 defeat. Trent Alexander-Arnold and Divock Origi scored the Liverpool goals, while Alisson Becker (own goal), Pablo Fornals and Kurt Zouma scored the goals for West Ham United.

They were able to end the ten-match unbeaten run for the Gunners. The Arsenal game in the league preceded the Champions League win over FC Porto from the Portuguese top flight. Thiago Alcantara and Mohamed Salah scored the goals.

Liverpool made it three wins on the trot with the 4-0 Premier League win over Southampton at home. Diogo Jota (2), Virgil Van Dijk and Thiago Alcantara were all on the scoresheet for the Reds.
