Gareth Bale and Memphis Depay are some of the targets of Louis van Gaal

Manchester United is tracking down Gareth Bale of Real Madrid and Memphis Depay of PSV. Louis van Gaal is rumored to be given a transfer budget of around €150 million in order to improve his squad and both of these wingers are at the top of the wish-list of Louis van Gaal who wants to make a splash in the summer transfer window.

The executive vice-chairman of Manchester United Ed Woodward wants to see his club make a genuine charge for the Premier League title in the next season and is prepared to give Louis van Gaal the funds necessary to make it happen.

Memphis Depay is another target of Louis van Gaal as the 21 year old player has enjoyed a superb season after managing to score 21 league goals in 28 appearances; the Dutch player has also attracted the attention of Liverpool and PSG which have also shown interest in signing him.

Louis van Gaal already has at his disposal a number of wingers at Old Trafford including: Angel Di Maria, Ashley Young, Adnan Januzaj and Antonio Valencia but none of those players have actually managed to make a true impact at Manchester United and this is why van Gaal is eager on signing someone who can properly reinforce that position of the squad.

If Louis van Gaal truly wants to sign Memphis Depay he will have to act fast as the sporting director of PSV has already confirmed that PSG and Liverpool are a step ahead of Manchester United and are closing in on signing Depay.

‘’PSG and Liverpool are indeed a step ahead of Manchester United in the race to sign Memphis. United have only informed us about their interest. The list of interested clubs has grown in recent weeks. But Bayern Munich are not among the teams that want to sign him.’’

That was the statement which was released by the sporting Director of PSV, Marcel Brands as he confirmed that both PSG and Liverpool have shown more interest in snatching Memphis Depay and a move to either of those clubs is turning into a very possible scenario.
